Knights Move into Summer Events

The 50th Valley of Flowers celebration has past.  Watch for changes in next year’s Valley of Flowers.  After a meeting with the Mayor and the Florissant police, it was decided that the times will change to 4:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Thursday and Friday, and from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Thursday next year will be “Family Bargain  Knight” with only families allowed on the grounds.  Friday, Saturday, and Sunday will be “Family Knights” with those 18 years and younger allowed on the grounds only if accompanied by an adult.

Now the Knights move on to summer activities.  Chicken and Fish Fries will continue monthly in June.  Wednesday night horseshoes will start for fun and for those interested in sharpening up for the state tournament in August.

The council’s supports those in need in the Florissant area through the local churches, Sacred Heart, St. Ferdinand, St. Rose, and St. Sabina.  The Knights also provide food to the St. Vincent de Paul societies to help their work.

Check out the web site for information about the other activities.  The Knights need the the support of the community to be able to offer back help to the community.  Join in the fun.  Most of the events are open to everyone, even if they are not in the Knights.
